\nIn One Era and Out The Other:<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\nA Patriotic History of the United States from
\n 1901-2001<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n
\n
\n <\/i>The High Point Area Arts
\n Council will present In One ERA and Out The Other on Friday,
\n September 27, in the dinner theatre at the Centennial Station
\n Arts Center, 121 S. Centennial Street, High Point.<\/span><\/div>\n
\nIn One ERA and Out The Other is a
\n history of 20th century America told through a patriotic,
\n broad-spectrum prism. “ERA” is a fast-paced musical cabaret
\n filled with multi-media images  from 1901 – 2001. Culminating
\n with the September 11, 2001 attack on America, the show
\n refocuses the future with humor and hope.<\/p>\n

“ERA” appeals to older audiences from a patriotic and nostalgic
\n point of view and to college audiences for its subliminal
\n language, double entendre, karaoke, prizes, and references to
\n progressive & LGBT rights. Using celebrities, headlines,
\n politics, protests, scandals, sex, sports, natural disasters,
\n and popular culture, Serena Ebhardt makes history personal. She
\n reveals how Americans come together in life, liberty, and the
\n pursuit of happiness when they stand united. It is all just a
\n little bit of history repeating with an uplifting look towards
\n the future.<\/span><\/div>\n

\nSerena Ebhardt has performed
\n hundreds of roles in Europe, Canada, Off-Broadway, and in
\n regional theater across the United States. Serena\u2019s dramatic
\n training includes NC Governor\u2019s School and Hedgerow Theatre\u2019s
\n Master Acting Classes with Rose Schulman. She was a Paul Green
\n Scholar in Dramatic Art at the University of North Carolina and
\n has been trained by The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Center
\n Institute, and the National Center for Creative Aging as a
\n Professional Teaching Artist<\/span><\/div>\n
\nIn One ERA
\n and Out The Other will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on September
\n 27. The show and an all-American dinner (including apple pie for
\n dessert) is $40 per person. Seating is limited so please call
\n 336-889-2787 ext. 24 to make a reservation before September 23.<\/span><\/div>\n
