\nDICKSON \u2014 The Gaslight Dinner
\nTheatre at The Renaissance Center will present the Tennessee premiere of
\n \u201cLife is So Good,\u201d a moving and inspirational true story of George
\nDawson, a slave\u2019s grandson who learned to read at age 98.
\nBased on
\n the book, \u201cLife is So Good: One Man\u2019s Extraordinary Journey Through the
\n 20th Century and How He Learned to Read at Age 98,\u201d written by Dawson
\nand school teacher Richard Glaubman, the play offers an unforgettable
\naccount of Dawson\u2019s life view of the world, with valuable lessons and
\ninsights into humanity, history, hardships and happiness.
\nFrom
\nsegregation and civil rights, to the wars, presidents and defining
\nmoments in history, Dawson reflects on the good and bad of America
\nduring the 20th century, inspiring audiences with the message that,
\nthrough it all \u201cLife is so good. I do believe it\u2019s getting better.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLife
\n is So Good\u201d runs through May 24 with evening dinner shows Friday and
\nSaturday and matinee lunch shows on Friday. Dinner shows are 6:30 p.m.
\nwith the show at 7:30 p.m. Matinees are noon for lunch, 1 p.m. for the
\nshow. Dinner and show is $37; lunch and show is $27.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
