Join Charles Dickens in his study on Friday, the 13 of October 1843. History, humor, and the holiday come to life in The Night Before Christmas Carol. Renowned Dickens scholar and author Dr. Elliot Engel crafts this entertaining study suitable for every holiday audience. In this acclaimed performance, actor David zum Brunnen portrays Charles Dickens and 17 familiar characters, giving personal, social, and historical context to a ghostly classic, A Christmas Carol.

Comprised of actual veteran’s letters, War Bonds is a musical journey through a war that redefined the world. Interspersed with personal letters from the war front and headline news of the period, the production is a warm reminiscence and a harrowing reminder of a time when the whole world seemed upside down.

Native is a relevant and powerful production based on the true story of the collaboration between Pulitzer Prize winner Paul Green and the controversial author of Native Son, Richard Wright. While adapting Native Son for the Broadway Stage to be directed by Orson Welles, the unlikely friends disagree over a single page of the script. Can their friendship survive the artistic process?

The history of twentieth-century America told through a patriotic prism. Era is a fast-paced musical cabaret filled with multi-media images from 1901 to 2001. Culminating on September 11. We reveal how Americans come together in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness when they stand united. It is all just a little bit of history repeating with an uplifting look towards the future.

This family drama celebrates the first 100 years of Flight. It is the story of the passion and focus of two brothers who want to prove man can fly. The brothers made the first powered flights in 1903 in a machine of their own invention and construction. Their discoveries provide the foundation and technology still used today in modern aviation and space exploration. And yes, we build the plane onstage during the performance!

A playful cabaret of old and new love songs, works of art, and love notes from the audience. Music and Art serve as a reminder that Love is all around us. Return to the wonderful, mad, hopeful, lunacy of this intoxicating emotion. Bring your Valentine and feel free to sing along with the performers for a special evening.
In 1952, the Supreme Court heard a school segregation case, Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas. In 1954, it ruled unanimously that segregation was unconstitutional, thus overthrowing Plessy v. Ferguson (1896), which set the “separate but equal” precedent. This play recounts the effects of the decision on the families who participated in the original court case, the impact of the ruling on school systems at the time, and the challenges still being faced today.

EbzB Productions began in 1998 with one of our signature productions– Dr. Elliot Engel’s The Night Before Christmas Carol. The production has since toured from coast to coast, been filmed for PBS, and experienced by hundreds of thousands of patrons.
We’ve added several more productions to our touring roster over the years, and a few more artists to our production family.
Though many of our stage productions have been broadcast on public television, we are challenging ourselves now with the production of our first feature film. The Problem Of The Hero. Based on Ian A. Finley’s stage play Native, the film is receiving excellent reviews and winning awards at international film festivals.
